Wife planned to assassinate KDF soldier who returned from Somalia

A family in Baringo is mourning the loss of a Kenya Defence Forces (KDF) soldier who was found dead in front of his house two days after returning from Somalia.
"When I arrived, people were viewing his body which laid in a pool of blood with deep cuts on his head" said Victor Kiprotich an eye witness.
Stanley Kipkolomi was found with deep cuts in the neck having arrived at his home from Somalia on Friday. He is one of the few who survived Alshabab attack. According to his daughter who heard him knock told the police that her father came back at around mid night when they were already asleep. "He came at around midnight and knocked severally, I woke up to go and open for him, but mum stopped me she picked a torch and proceeded towards the entrance" she said.
The daughter further told the police that she heard her mother talking to some people outside but didn't open for her father. "I heard mum talking to some strangers outside whom I suspect she knew them because she didn't even shout for help even after realizing that dad had been attacked" she said
Police arrested the widow Nancy Kandagor and took her to Kabarnet police station where she spent the rest of her night.

"We are keeping her in our cells to assist us with investigation before taking her and other culprits to court" said  one of the police officers at Kabarnet.
"We suspect that Nancy had planned for the assassination of her husband and she must pay for it" , said one of the hungry residents.
