The student claimed the
suspect drove her to his house and after a brief chart, he asked if she was
‘clean’ (HIV status) and then went ahead to rape her. “He asked me whether I
was HIV positive and before I could answer his he pushed me on his sofa set, tore
my clothes and raped me for several hours” she said. Ng’eno, however, denied
the charges before Chief Magistrate Josphat Kalo and was released on a cash
bail of Ksh.200,000. The case is set for hearing on November 3, 2016.
